First, If you haven't set up a Google AdSense Account yet, read this post Get A Google AdSense Account and go do that before anything else.

To maximize your Google AdSense earnings, you have to make sure to place your ads in the right areas of your blog.

First, you want to make sure to use the right formats for your blog. Statistics show that the tall skyscraper ads don't perform well anymore. I would recommend using the large square ads between your posts.

Try to use the same colors for your ads, that you use on your blog. You want your AdSense to blend into your blog.

Most people these days will skip right over banner ads. It's best to stick with text only on all of your ads for now.

If you have a couple of pictures on your blog, place an AdSense ad next to the image and this might help your C.T.R. (Click Through Rate). It should help to draw your visitors attention in that direction.

Keep the ads up toward the top and middle of the page. Using Google's text links by other links on your blog should help you to get more clicks as well.

Try to think outside of the box when it comes to your ad placement. Use your best judgment, put yourself in your visitors shoes, where would you most likely click on an ad if you had just arrived on your blog for the first time.

Avoid click fraud, that means DO NOT CLICK YOUR OWN ADS. You will get caught and that will get your account banned for life, from the Google AdSense program. Which could possibly be a lot of money that you would lose out on. Some bloggers earn hundreds or even thousands of dollars every month with Google AdSense.

When starting a blog there a few things you'll want to do the very first month, I will let you know what you should do and how to do it. This will be great for all of you that are newbies to the blogging game and possibly even help the more seasoned bloggers learn a few new tricks.

I always say that to be successful with Google AdSense you have to experiment and test which colors and formats make you the most money on your blog. I still believe that very much, however I get a lot of emails from people that tell me they changed their ad placements or colors and still nobody is clicking. I then usually find out that their blog is fairly new or that they've never really had a steady flow of visitors.

Remember to get people to click the ads on your blog, you first need to have people visiting your blog. Not every visitor is going to click on your AdSense ads either. If you only have a couple of visitors a day it is hard to say which ads will work best for your site. So what I'm trying to say is that not making a load of money from Google AdSense in the beginning is totally normal, but you don't want to go and change the colors and ad placements until you can do some real testing with a large amount of visitors. If you have 100 people coming to your blog everyday and still nobody clicks your ads, then you'll want to make some changes.

Earning a fulltime income from blogging and Google AdSense is definately possible, but you have to be patient and keep your eye on the prize. As long as you keep posting good interesting content, people will notice soon enough. I hope this kind of helps ease some of the concerns, and remember every successful blogger started out right where you are now. As always keep up the hard work and good luck!

I have recently been getting a lot of emails from readers who have started a new blog but say that they're frustrated because they haven't started to make any money from their Google AdSense Ads yet and want to know what they're doing wrong! First of all you aren't doing anything wrong, to make money from the AdSense ads on your blog, you must first have a good amount of visitors to your blog everyday. This can actually take a little bit of time and patients. Remember a popular blog doesn't become popular overnight.

I know first hand how aggravating it is to start a new blog. You write a handful of posts, and still you don't have any readers or followers. I have gone through this myself with each one of my blogs. In fact the "Bloogle AdSense" blog that you are reading right now is only about 6 months old and it is just now starting to pick up traffic.

Remember, it can take a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks just to get your blog listed in Google, which is where the majority of your blog traffic will come from. Also, after you get your blog listed you will then have to earn a good ranking within the search engines. For your blog to show up on the 1st page of Google for your blogs category, your blog will have to be well optimized for the search engines (S.E.O.). At the same time it will also have to be something that people want to read. The tricky part is to find a good in between.

Here are some things that you can do to help your blog get noticed by the search engines and to get more people reading your blog as well.

• Pick an interesting topic: Usually if your blog topic is something that you are interested in, there are probably others out there that are interested in the same thing and these are the people who will become your blog followers.

• Know your stuff: If you think Basketball is a good topic for a blog, but you think when a player puts the ball in the hoop it's called a touchdown, you should probably choose another topic. If you try to fake your knowledge your readers will know and they will call you on it.

• Be personal: Try to let your readers know who you are through your blog. You have to make yourself human to your readers, otherwise you are just words on a screen.

• Comment on other blogs: When you comment on other blogs with your site link in your signature, it creates a link back to your blog and the search engines place a lot of  weight on links.

• Use proper grammar and spelling: Using good grammar and correct spelling shows your  professionalism and intelligence to your readers, and the search engines like it too.

• Social Bookmarking: Submit your blog to social bookmarking sites like, Stumble Upon, Digg, Delicious, technorati, propeller, just to name a few. This will help create more of a web presence for yourself and get some back-links to your blog.

• Treat your blog like a business: If you plan on making money through blogging, you have to treat your blog like you would any other business. What I mean is, be disciplined, set aside a certain time everyday for blogging and promoting your blog, then stick to it like a work schedule.

These are just a few things for you to try. But the main thing I want you to remember is you just have to remain patient. No matter how slow it is right now, if you believe in yourself and just keep blogging the traffic will eventually start to pour in. So keep up the good work, keep on blogging, and good luck!

By now you should have created your HTML file, copied your Google AdSense code, and pasted your AdSense code in your new HTML file. If you have not done this, go back to my previous post, Google AdSense On Windows Live Spaces Blog: (Part 1) , and follow those steps to create your HTML file.

Now that you have created your googlead1.html file with your Google AdSense code in it, you will need to upload your HTML file to one of your other websites, if you don’t have another website don’t worry I’ll show you where to get a free website and then walk you through the steps of uploading your HTML file, this will only take a second. When you get there the first thing you need to do is click on the blue rectangle button that says “Sign Up”.

It will then take you to the page where you will need to pick a domain name (Choose The Sub-Domain Option) for your new website. Try to pick a good domain name for your site and in my future posts I will show you how to make some good money using your new website. Then give your name and a valid E-mail address because you will need the username and password they will be sending you. Next choose a password and enter in the number they show you. Last, just check the box agreeing to the Terms Of Service, and then click the button that says “Sign Up”.

You will now receive an E-mail informing you that your website has been created. Now all you need to do is choose a website template and delete the default.php file from the public_html file, then you will be able to upload your HTML file that has your AdSense code in it, which we created in the previous post (Part 1).

Hopefully now you have received your E-mail, I’ll walk you through these few simple steps to get your website ready to upload your googlead1.html file.

  Access the control panel by going to: http://members.000webhost.com/. (This link is also in your E-mail that 000webhost.com sent to you) Log in with the username and password that was E-mailed to you.

  On the table, underneath where it says, “List Of Your Domains” directly under the word “Domain” you should see your website name, next to that directly under the word “Status” it should say “Active”, followed by, “Go To CPanel” in the last box on the table. Click directly on “Go To CPanel”.

  When you get to the CPanel Menu Double Click on the icon that says “Another File Manager”.
  
  
  

• 
  
  Next, Double Click the file that says “public_html”.
  
  
  
• 
  
  Then, Click ONE Time on the file default.php just to highlight it. (DO NOT Double Click!)
  
  
  
• 
  
  Over to the left side of the screen click “Delete File” and Confirm if needed.
  
  
  

Now all you need to do is pick a website template by going to http://builder.000webhost.com/sitebuilder.php and log in using the username and password E-mailed to you by 000webhost.com. Then click the blue button that says “Next>Step 2”.

  You should now see thumbnails of website templates. Scroll through the templates and choose one. After you find the template you want, click on the button in the right hand corner that says “Next>Step 3”.

  The last step to create your new website is to enter in your company/website information, you can do this now if you want or you can do it later. When you are done click on the button that says “Go>Install My Website”. If a warning pops up about overwriting existing files just click “Ok”.

  A congratulations message should now appear. Click on the button in the bottom right hand corner of the page that reads “Go, Edit My Website”.

  If it asks you to Login again use the same username and password as before.
  
  
  

This is where you will upload the googlead1.html file by clicking on the “Asset Manager” icon. (Only Click One Time)

When the window opens follow these simple steps.

   Click on the little drop down box in the upper right hand corner then click on the word “Documents”.

   Where it says “Upload File” click on the Browse button.

   When your computer files pop up click on “Desktop” and find the googlead1.html file that we created in (Part 1) and Double Click on it.

   You can now click on the button that says “Upload”.

   After the file uploads it will show your googlead1.html file listed.

   Then click on the small box below the white preview window that says “Use Full URL (http://...)”.

   Highlight and copy ( Control+C ) the Full URL that shows up.

   Now paste ( Control+V ) and save the Full URL in Notepad or somewhere that you can have easy access to it.

   Then click the small button in the bottom right hand corner that says “OK”.
   
   
   

Now you’re ready to place the Google AdSense ad on your Windows Live Spaces Blog with just a couple more steps. To complete this process, go to your Windows Live Spaces Blog and sign in.

  Next, click on the “Customize” button located in the upper right hand corner of your Blog page. The Customize Menu Options should then drop down.

  Then, click on “Add Modules”.

  Now you will see the “Modules” drop down menu.

  Scroll down to the “Gadgets” section.
  
  
  
• 
  
  Under the “Gadgets” heading click on the link that says “Add gadgets from the Windows Live Gallery”
  
  
  

You should now be at the “Windows Live Gallery”. What you do now is click on the “HTML Sandbox Gadget”. Then confirm it by clicking on the blue button that says “Add”.

Another box will now pop-up with 3 options “Live.com”, “Spaces”, and “Events”, make sure to choose the “Spaces” option then click “Add” to confirm. Now another screen should pop-up with a preview of the HTML Sandbox, click the Install button on the bottom right hand side of the page. It should now take you back to your Windows Live Spaces Blog, when it does click on the “Save” button which will be at the top right hand side of your screen.

Now, click on “Edit” in the upper left hand corner of the HTML Sandbox to ad the code below.

Finally, open your Notepad program then copy and then paste the following code into Notepad.

  Make sure you replace your Full URL (that we got from your new website earlier in this post) with the URL in between the quotation marks “” above.

  Then Copy ( Control+C ) and Paste ( Control+V ) the code into the HTML Sandbox Module that you just added to your Windows Live Blog.
  
  
  
• 
  
  Then click the little button to the left of the “abc” button below your code to make your Google AdSense ad appear in the HTML Sandbox Module.

  Last, click the “Save” button at the top right hand side of your blog page.
  
  
  

And your Google AdSense ad should now show up on your Windows Live Spaces Blog!

How did you put AdSense on your Windows Live Spaces Blog? This is a question I get at least once a week? So I’ve decided to go ahead and answer that question for everyone all at once. Now, there are a couple of ways to place AdSense on your Windows Live Blog, I am only going to tell you about the one that I like to use. To make sure that it gets done the right way I will break this up into 2 posts and the reason I’m doing it this way is because the first thing you have to do for this process to work is to create an HTML file, now I know most of you already know how to do this, however there are just as many people out there who do not. For those people who don’t know how this is done, just follow these step by step instructions below.

(Before you create your HTML file, you will need to have a valid Google AdSense account and have the code ready to go for the type of AdSense ad style that you want to have shown on your Windows Live Spaces Blog. If you don't have an AdSense account "click here for instructions on how to get one")

Creating An HTML File:

  Go to your desktop, right “click” and select new, and from the list that pops up click on Text Document. Once you do that an icon that says New Text Document should now show up.

  Next, go to Windows Explorer on your computer, click on Organize (note: I use Windows Vista it may say something else on your version). A box with 3 tabs should pop up click on the 2nd tab, View. There should now be a list w/check boxes beside each option, the one that says Hide File Extensions For Known File Types, has to be un-checked. (An empty box means it is un-checked) When you are done un-checking the box click Apply and go back to your desktop and right click on the file that you just created (New Text Document) and rename it to googlead1.html. To change a file name click the icon once to highlight it then wait a second and click it again where the name appears and type the new name, which should make the icon change in appearance.

  Then open up the Notepad program, click on file, then click open, and locate the file googlead1.html that you just created, if you can’t find it, try changing the Text Documents option, located on the bottom right hand corner, to All Files. Or to do all of this faster just drag the icon from your desktop onto the Notepad.

  Finally, after you have found and opened your new file (googlead1.html) go and copy the Google AdSense code for the type of ad you want to have show on your Windows Live Spaces Blog, and paste that code in Notepad. After you have done that click file then save, which is in the upper left hand corner of Notepad.
  
  
  

Congratulations you have just created an HTML file if it is done correctly you should be able to click on the googlead1.html icon on your desktop and see your Google AdSense ad that you pasted into your file. For an example mine looks like this “click here to see my googlead1.html”.

So I've just started this "Bloogle AdSense" blog which of course is about blogging, Google AdSense, and the different ways to make money online when you have time but no money. I first started using these free websites and blogs less than a year ago and I haven't made a ton of money yet but it is starting to pick up. I am trying to figure out if it is possible to make money online using affiliate programs, Google AdSense, and blogging. I am only using the free websites, like this one, to do it.
